Nuts n' Bolts

  1. Desire (or curiosity) to learn.

  2. Willingness to attend a class and sit for the attunements.

  3. Willingness to use.

Since anyone can learn and use Reiki regardless of their beliefs, educational levels, cultural biases, age, or handicaps, I have come to believe the ability to channel Reiki is an innate human ability that lies dormant until the attunement process awakens it. That is the only thing that can explain the universal ability of humans to access Reiki healing energy.

  • How is it learned?

There are three levels of Reiki training in the West: First Degree, Second Degree, and Mastership. First and Second Degree are each taught in a class setting of approximately 16 - 19 hrs. (2-2½ days) usually over a weekend, sometimes spread over evening classes. I also provide individual or family instruction with flexible formats to fit circumstances or special needs. For powerful personal healing and working with others, the First and Second Degree are all that is necessary. Mastership is a lengthy, involved process of training intended for those with a professional commitment to teaching and healing with Reiki.

A First Degree Class always includes at least:

  1. the History of Reiki,

  2. the four (4) attunements necessary to open the energy in the students' hands

  3. practice using the energy;

  4. information on how it works and how to use it is tailored to the needs and interests of the students.

Second Degree training involves additional attunements that increase access to Reiki energy and open advanced abilities including the ability to send Reiki to those at a distance. This training is done when students feel ready to go further and after a suitable period of practice with the First Degree energies.

There are fees posted here under Reiki Classes for training at both First and Second Degrees. Warrior's Way Foundation is an Arkansas non-profit foundation dedicated to helping any in the warrior professions listed here to have access to the healing modalities available at Warrior's Way. Warrior's Way Foundation is supported by public donations, with the funds used to provide need-based scholarships for warriors and their families who are looking for better ways to healing and quality of life. For more information see, Fees and Energy Exchanges under Classes.

Bottom line: anyone who comes through Warrior's Way Foundation and wants to learn Reiki, meditation, or use the DreamWeaver will be able to do so.
