The web sites here present a pictorial story of warrior life. A few
of the linked sites serve up agendas with their photos, some strident, others not. Most places allow the photos alone to speak, eloquently. We have no agenda in selecting these sites other than to show the day to day reality of the warrior's life for those who know, to those who never knew, so we can all understand. Some of the photos on these pages are painfully graphic. We feel if our warriors had the courage to to live it, we can at least look at it.
Political agendas, public perceptions, historical assessments shift and change over
time, with the Times, but at the end of the day what is real for all warriors is the personal truth of their lives and their service--and the pain that remains.
It is that truth we honor here.
